Slovakia fell behind 1-0 to the Czech Republic after the first period of their B-group hockey match. Czech forward Daniel Voženílek opened the scoring in the 9th minute, beating Slovak goalkeeper Samuel Hlavaj with a shot from behind defender Viliam Kmec.
