Banska Bystrica Still Plans to Extend Pedestrian Zone

Officials in Banska Bystrica continue to plan an extension of the city's pedestrian zone from Dolna Street through the Hušták area. The pedestrian zone expansion has been under discussion for over a decade, with talks initially beginning in connection with the construction of a shopping center on Vajanského Square. Banska Bystrica, the regional capital of central Slovakia, is moving forward with urban planning initiatives aimed at creating more walkable areas in the city center.
