The Žilina Self-Governing Region has completed repairs on 100 bridges over the past eight years, marking a significant infrastructure milestone. Construction will begin next week on the reconstruction of a bridge on road III/2340 in the village of Uhorská Ves in the Liptov area, with the project secured through European Union funding. The Žilina region, located in northern Slovakia, has been systematically addressing its aging bridge infrastructure through a combination of regional and EU resources to maintain crucial transportation links across the mountainous terrain.
