Three Slovak women advance to kayak cross semifinals at competition

Slovak female kayakers Paňková, Stanovská, and Chlebová have advanced to the semifinal rounds of a kayak cross competition. Slovakia will not have male representation in the next phase of the competition, as Martin Halčin finished in 49th place and Matej Ševčík placed 51st, failing to qualify for the knockout rounds. Kayak cross is a relatively new Olympic discipline that combines whitewater slalom skills with head-to-head racing, where multiple paddlers navigate a course simultaneously.
