Košice Music Spring Festival Celebrates 70th Anniversary

Slovakia's prestigious Košice Music Spring festival will mark its 70th anniversary when it opens on May 21, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Košice House of Arts. The State Philharmonic Košice will perform the opening concert titled "ŽIVIJÓ, KHJ!" under the baton of conductor Stanislav Kochanovsky, who will make his Slovak debut. The anniversary festival promises to bring world-class orchestras to eastern Slovakia and will combine musical performances with discussions, maintaining its tradition as one of the country's most significant cultural events.
