Slovak Judokas Eliminated in Early Rounds at Linz Tournament

Two Slovak judokas were knocked out in the early stages of competition at a tournament in Linz, Austria. Lucia Tománková lost her first-round match in the women's under-48kg category to Kazakhstan's Diana Burkejeva by ippon, judo's equivalent of a knockout. Her teammate Lukáš Tománek received a bye in the first round of the men's under-60kg division but was defeated in the second round by Japan's Retsu Matsunaga, also by ippon.
