Slovak Translators Test AI's Literary Analysis Capabilities in Publishing Experiment
Two Slovak translators and academics, Zuzana Hudáková and Marián Kabát, published results of an experiment testing artificial intelligence's ability to evaluate literature without identifying the works or authors. The researchers, who specialize in translation technologies and AI applications, asked artificial intelligence to assess ten classic works of world literature while deliberately withholding information about the books' titles and authors. They published their findings in Verzia, a Slovak magazine dedicated to translation literature. The experiment aimed to determine whether AI could recognize the significance and meaning of literary works based solely on content analysis, without relying on established reputations or prior knowledge of the texts.
