Volunteers in Liptov Region Plant Thousands of Trees in Reforestation Effort

Volunteers in the Liptov region of northern Slovakia have planted thousands of trees as part of ongoing reforestation efforts. The volunteer initiative represents a grassroots environmental project aimed at restoring forest cover in the mountainous region. The volunteers plan to focus future planting efforts on oak trees, after historical research revealed that oak forests were once widespread and popular throughout the Liptov area. The tree-planting campaign reflects growing environmental awareness among Slovak citizens and efforts to restore native forest ecosystems that have been reduced over time.
