Košice's public transport operator DPMK has signed contracts with Czech company SOR Libchavy for 30 new low-floor buses powered by compressed natural gas (CNG), worth nearly 13.8 million euros including VAT. The new vehicles will join the current fleet of 213 buses operated by DPMK, the city's public transport company, and are expected to significantly improve comfort, safety and quality for passengers using Košice's public transportation system. The buses represent a major investment in modernizing public transport infrastructure in Slovakia's second-largest city.
