Václavík and Rudenko fail to advance to free skate program

Slovak figure skaters failed to qualify for the free skate portion of their competition. After the short program, Japan's Rio Nakata led the standings with 89.51 points, positioning himself as the favorite heading into the next phase of the event. The elimination of the Slovak competitors means they will not continue in the competition.
