Islanders' Schaefer Wins NHL Rookie of the Year Award

New York Islanders player Schaefer has been awarded the Calder Trophy for NHL Rookie of the Year. He becomes the first Islanders player to receive this honor since forward Mathew Barzal won the award in the 2017/18 season. The Calder Trophy is presented annually to the player judged most proficient in his first year of competition in the National Hockey League.
