Russia and Ukraine conducted a prisoner exchange on Friday, with each side releasing 205 captured soldiers. The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the release of 205 Russian troops, who are currently receiving medical care in Belarus, in exchange for an equal number of Ukrainian prisoners. The swap brought the total number of freed soldiers to more than 400, marking another significant prisoner exchange between the two countries since Russia's invasion of Ukraine began in February 2022. Such exchanges have become a regular diplomatic channel between Moscow and Kyiv despite the ongoing conflict.
