French biathlete Éric Perrot secured his first overall World Cup title in biathlon, while Norwegian Sturla Holm Laegreid won the sprint discipline globe. Slovak representative Martin Maťko achieved his best result of the season, finishing 39th place with one standing shooting error and trailing the winner by 2 minutes and 5.7 seconds. The performance marked a season-high finish for Maťko in World Cup competition.
