Nearly 40% of Regional Bridges in Poor Technical Condition, State Audit Finds

Slovakia's Supreme Audit Office has found that nearly 40% of regional bridges across the country are in poor technical condition, raising serious concerns about infrastructure safety. State auditors warned that without systematic changes to road infrastructure financing, it will become increasingly difficult to ensure safe operation and modernization of the country's transportation network. The Supreme Audit Office, Slovakia's independent state financial oversight body, regularly conducts audits of public spending and infrastructure to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of government investments.
