Slovak Foreign Minister Supports Moldova's EU Membership Path

Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár expressed support for Moldova's European Union membership aspirations during recent diplomatic engagements. The backing comes as trade between Slovakia and Moldova has more than tripled over the past five years, reflecting strengthening economic ties between the two countries. Moldova, a former Soviet republic bordering Romania and Ukraine, has been pursuing closer integration with the European Union as part of its pro-Western foreign policy orientation, while facing ongoing challenges related to Russian influence and the breakaway region of Transnistria.
