Slovak Chemical Giant Duslo Seeks State Aid for 200-Million-Euro Investment

Share:

Duslo, Slovakia's major chemical manufacturer based in Šaľa, is requesting government assistance for a planned 200-million-euro investment amid ongoing energy cost pressures. Despite higher natural gas prices, the company has avoided a significant crisis as fertilizer prices have also increased. Prime Minister Robert Fico indicated the government is prepared to help by reducing gas transmission and distribution fees for the facility. The chemical plant has again restricted key production operations following recent US and Israeli attacks on Iran, highlighting the company's vulnerability to geopolitical tensions that affect global energy markets and supply chains.
