Massive 11,000-Carat Ruby Discovered in Myanmar's Gem-Rich Region

Miners in Myanmar discovered an enormous ruby weighing more than two kilograms, or 11,000 carats, in a region known for its rich gemstone deposits. The discovery represents one of the largest rubies found in the Southeast Asian nation, which is among the world's leading sources of high-quality rubies and other precious stones.
