The Košice regional assembly recognized the contributions of art historian A. Gäntherová-Mayerová during a recent session. The assembly also commemorated the 102nd anniversary of its first meeting, marking over a century of regional governance in eastern Slovakia. The Košice Self-Governing Region, which encompasses Slovakia's second-largest city and the surrounding eastern region, serves as the local government body responsible for regional development, healthcare, education, and cultural affairs in the area.
