Locomotive from Fatal Train Crash Near Jablonov Finally Recovered

Recovery crews have successfully extracted the locomotive that remained in a ditch near Jablonov nad Turňou following a deadly train collision in October 2023. The Košice Regional Police Directorate confirmed the completion of the challenging operation on social media, though cleanup work at the crash site continues. The locomotive had been lodged in the ravine since the October accident, which occurred in the Košice region of eastern Slovakia.
