Workers have begun removing a locomotive that remained buried below track level in Jablonov nad Turňou following a train collision that occurred last year. The locomotive had been trapped in an embankment underneath the railway line since the accident. Jablonov nad Turňou is a small municipality in eastern Slovakia's Rožňava district, located near the Hungarian border. The removal operation represents a significant step in clearing the aftermath of what appears to have been a serious railway incident that left heavy equipment embedded in the rail infrastructure.
