Winter road maintenance in Prešov required hundreds of tons of salt and grit
Share:
The eastern Slovak city of Prešov consumed hundreds of tons of de-icing materials during recent winter weather operations, with severe freezing temperatures creating the most significant challenges for municipal road crews. The harsh winter conditions forced the city to deploy substantial quantities of salt and grit to maintain safe driving conditions on local roads and sidewalks. Prešov, located in eastern Slovakia near the Polish border, is the country's third-largest city and serves as an important regional center that must maintain transportation infrastructure during Slovakia's typically harsh winter months.
