Dozens of firefighters and specialized equipment are working to recover a locomotive that has remained in a ravine for months following a deadly train collision in Jablonove nad Turňou last October. The locomotive lies several dozen meters below track level in the ravine where two express trains collided in the October 2023 accident. The complex recovery operation in the Rožňava district requires extensive emergency services support due to the difficult terrain and location of the wreckage.
