Slovak skier Žampa fails to advance in alpine competition

Slovak alpine skier Andreas Žampa did not qualify for the second round of competition after finishing 41st in the first run. Žampa posted a time 3.56 seconds slower than the leader, Pinheiro Braathen, who recorded the fastest first-run time. The result eliminated Žampa from advancing to the final round of the alpine skiing event.
