Evgeni Malkin extends contract with Pittsburgh Penguins for one year

Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin has signed a one-year contract extension with the NHL team. The Russian forward, who will turn 40 years old on July 31, will play his 21st season with the Pittsburgh franchise. Malkin has been a cornerstone of the Penguins organization since being drafted second overall in 2004, helping the team win three Stanley Cup championships during his career.
