The city of Košice will invest nearly 21.5 million euros in new infrastructure projects over the coming months, focusing on transportation, culture, and environmental protection. The funding will revitalize the Družba Cinema and support construction of a depot for electric buses. Representatives from Košice's city government, municipal districts, and 40 surrounding municipalities in the Košice-okolie district met Friday at the second annual session of the Cooperative Council for Sustainable Urban Development. The projects are being financed through European Union structural funds as part of Slovakia's sustainable urban development program, which allows cities to coordinate regional investment strategies with neighboring municipalities.
