Slovakia's ice hockey head coach Craig Ramsay has excluded goalkeeper Patrik Lantoš from the national team roster for the upcoming World Championship. Instead, goalkeepers Branislav Hlavaj and Samuel Gajan have secured their spots on the team. The selection process has also been affected by injuries, with forward Matúš Spodniak ruled out of contention for his first World Championship appearance despite a successful season with Michalovce in the Slovak Extraliga.
