Košice Completes Major Road Repairs, Pedestrian Crossings Still Missing

Share:

The city of Košice has completed repairs on an important road, leaving behind newly paved asphalt but temporarily removing pedestrian crossings during the construction work. City officials say they need three weeks to restore the missing crosswalks, forcing pedestrians to wait for safe crossing points to be reinstalled. The road improvement project represents part of ongoing infrastructure maintenance in Slovakia's second-largest city, though the temporary inconvenience highlights the coordination challenges between vehicle and pedestrian infrastructure during urban construction projects.
