The inspiration struck during a vacation in Greece, where the concept of five Czech seniors taking a boat trip came together. Film critics have noted similarities between Svěrák's eleventh feature film and his earlier work 'Jízda' (The Ride). The new film explores themes of aging, old traumas, and portrays children as a main source of danger in the story.
