
Košice District Proposes Using Gambling Revenue to Combat Addiction

The Košice-Staré Mesto district council received 450,000 euros in revenue from gambling activities and related operations in 2025, according to the latest financial assessment report. Local councilor Djordjevič has proposed redirecting this gambling revenue toward programs aimed at combating gambling addiction and related dependencies. The proposal represents an effort to use funds generated from gambling operations to address the social problems they can create in the community.
