Despite systematic efforts to influence the cultural sphere during World War II, the Nazi regime failed to establish effective control over Slovakia's cultural institutions and artistic expression. The research examines how Slovak cultural life resisted Nazi ideological influence even under the wartime Slovak state, which was aligned with Germany from 1939 to 1945.
