Poland Says US Troop Levels Will Remain Stable Despite Rotation Halt
Poland's defense minister assured that the number of American troops stationed in the country will remain stable at approximately 10,000 personnel, despite a halt to US military rotations ordered by Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth. The unexpected decision to suspend American unit rotations across Europe has raised concerns about weakening NATO's eastern flank, which borders Russia and serves as a key defensive position for the alliance. However, Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that Warsaw continues working to strengthen the US military presence in Poland and expand operational capabilities, suggesting the country remains committed to maintaining robust defense cooperation with the United States amid regional security challenges.
