D1 Highway Reopens to Bratislava Traffic After Reconstruction Work

The D1 highway in the direction of Bratislava is fully operational again after completing reconstruction work on a section between the Bernolákovo intersection and Zlaté piesky. The stretch had been closed since Thursday evening while traffic was rerouted from temporary bypass lanes back to the newly reconstructed roadway. During the closure, crews completed several types of work necessary to hand the section over to motorists. Weather permitting, authorities plan to implement a similar closure in the opposite direction during the upcoming weekend.
