World Boxing allows Russians and Belarusians to compete under neutral status

World Boxing has decided to permit Russian and Belarusian athletes to participate in competitions under neutral status. The boxing federation made this decision in response to recommendations from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which had suggested the reintegration of Russian and Belarusian competitors into international sporting events. This move represents a potential shift in the sporting sanctions that have been in place against athletes from these countries following Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
