Bratislava to Host Slovak Premiere of Philip Glass's 'Einstein on the Beach' Opera

The Viva Musica! festival will present the Slovak premiere of Philip Glass's groundbreaking opera "Einstein on the Beach" in Bratislava, marking the 50th anniversary of the work's creation. The concert version will feature two renowned Belgian ensembles, Ictus and Collegium Vocale Gent, with singer Suzanne Vega serving as narrator. The opera, widely regarded as the most famous "anti-opera" of the second half of the 20th century and a manifesto of musical minimalism, represents a major cultural event for Slovakia's classical music scene.
